NOTE: Many F series have interchangeable parts. Firing pins and Mags are somewhat common. The missing rear sight part may have to be fabricated.
In 1967 the last series revision was instituted across the line. The major change was in the addition of an external last-shot hold-open slide stop to the left side of the frame, but small contour and style changes are present on several parts.
The frame profile changed notably, especially along the rear of the grip. Instead of being straight along the rear of the stocks, with a pronounced, all-steel backstrap (like a Colt 1911 mainspring housing), the entire frame is the same width as the rear. Stocks are now curved along their rear face, to match the frame profile. Aside from this shape change stocks from this series are much more often plastic than wood but of the same general profile and design.
The 6" FR Sport retained its thumbrest stocks, replaceable undercut front sight, and adjustable barrel weights.
The F series was in production from 1932-1983. The 4th Model was the last .22 Star ever produced.
