This listing is for STAR BM's issued to the Superior Police Corps "Cuerpo Superior de Policia" (CSP) Known as "Secret Police." The CSP was responsible for criminal investigations and political control.

CSP was a Spanish armed institution, created during the transition period after the Franco-era General Police Corps (CGP) and the current National Police Corps. In the mid-1980s the body was affected by the existence of a mafia network. AKA "The Police Mafia") composed of several policemen who acted outside the law and in collusion with criminals for the organization of jewelry heists; corrupt cops later took over the stolen property and sold it illegally. This entire corrupt network was discovered following the statements to the justice of a jeweler, Federico Venero, which would lead to the dismantling of the network and the prosecution of those involved. The Superior Police Corps operated from 1978 – 1986. The Organic Law on Security Forces and Forces created the National Police Corps (CNP) and involved the unification of the previous police forces.

Made between 1972 and 1992, STAR BM pistols were manufactured by Star Bonifacio Echeverria, S.A. in Spain. They were issued to Spain's Guardia Civil and many other police agencies in Europe. Stars have always had a reputation for being sturdy and reliable 1911 9mm Patterned Semi-Automatic Pistol. It features a 3.77" barrel and a single-action trigger system with a locking breach, steel frame, and traditional sights.
