NOTE: The item in the photo is a sample. Units are NIB. Each has a slightly different wood grain pattern.

This is a milled receiver AK rifle, chambered in .308 WIN caliber and built by Riley Defense on a mil-spec, surplus kit (YUGO) with adequate American components to make it 922r compliant. The wood furniture has the markings, dents, and dings illustrating the battlefield-pickup origins of this rifle and ranging in color from light to dark brown.

We believe the surplus kit to be a Zastava M77 B1. This battle rifle was developed and manufactured by Zastava Arms in Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia). It was introduced in 1977. It is a derivative of the Zastava M70 chambered in 7.62×51mm with an enlarged receiver and a Western-style flash suppressor. It was a gas-operated, air-cooled, magazine-fed, selective-fire battle rifle with a fixed wooden stock. Early versions had a milled receiver and an adjustable gas block with flip-up rifle grenade sights.
