NOTE: The items in the photo are samples. This batch has discreet import marks located on the underside of the trigger guard. Based on the samples, the manufacturing dates are from the early 2000's. The item may or may not feature an Israeli-type lanyard ring.

The CZ 75 is a renowned semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Czech gun maker ČZUB, first introduced in 1975. It is regarded as one of the original "wonder nines," known for its design featuring a staggered-column magazine, all-steel construction, and a hammer-forged barrel. Due to its success, the CZ 75 has been widely distributed around the world and is the most commonly used handgun in the Czech Republic. Its design was so influential that unlicensed copies were produced in other countries.

The CZ 85 was developed due to the lack of patents protecting the CZ 75 and as an improvement and refinement of the original design. While the CZ 75 became widely copied, the CZ 85 offered key upgrades, such as ambidextrous controls—including a safety switch and slide stop—to better accommodate both right- and left-handed shooters. The introduction of the CZ 85 was both a response to the absence of patents and a way to enhance the functionality and versatility of the original CZ 75 design.

The CZ 85B is an updated version of the CZ 85, featuring a firing pin block safety, a squared trigger guard, a ring hammer, and tri-dot sights for improved accuracy and safety.

The CZ 85 and CZ 85B variants were produced from 1986 to 2016. Based on the samples pulled from this shipment, this batch appears to be from the 2000s.
