A standard firearm for the US military during World War II the M1 carbine was a lightweight easy-to-use semi-automatic rifle. Over 6.5 million M1 Carbines of various models were produced during World War II by contractors as diverse as General Motors IBM and the Underwood Typewriter Company.
This modern-day reproduction by Chiappa is a fine replica having the same overall dimensions, trigger group design, sights as the original, but are chambered in the affordable 9mm Luger. The receivers have a dovetail to accept our picatatiny rails (sold separately). The straight blowback design makes them ultra-reliable and easy to clean and maintain and uses easy-to-find Beretta 92 magazines. It will make a great plinker small game hunter or truck gun.
