Adopted in 1957 by the Yugoslavian Military, the M57 was essentially a copy of the Soviet Tokarev TT pistol. The M57 features a longer grip which allows the use of a 9-round magazine instead of only 8. 

These pistols have a trigger safety installed instead of the more common frame-mounted safety which required modification to the original frame.
